Situé à 150 Km de Paris, le long du Loir et de l'Aigre, au coeur d'un parc de 30 hectares, le gîte est une ancienne grange de 200m², aménagée pour 10 à 12 personnes. Les pierres apparentes, les colombages et un ancien four à pain en font un lieu particulièrement paisible. Piscine sur place.Description gite
Le gîte fait partie d'un ensemble de bâtiments appartenant au prieuré de Bouche d'Aigre (12ème siècle). Les moines y ont habité jusqu' à la révolution.Ce prieuré faisait partie de l'Abbaye Bénédictine de Thiron.Repris après la révolution par un capitaine de l'armée de Napoléon, le prieuré fut restauré jusqu' à la fin du 19ème siècle.En vous promenant, vous pourrez découvrir cet endroit chargé d'histoire.Les alentours:Situé en plein coeur d'un parc de 30 hectares, délimité par 2 rivières le Loir et l'Aigre, le gîte est un endroit particulièrement calme et verdoyant où il fait bon se reposer à l'ombre des bambous et des chants d'oiseaux...Avis

Holiday Gite - La grange a pain
The Gite was great for the 11 people who stayed there, ages ranging from 12 to 79, covering 3 generations. The kitchen was well equipped, the dishwasher and washing machines being a real bonus and the barbecue was well used. There was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy, both inside and out especially the swimming pool and the table tennis set, the gites gardens were enclosed which was useful with us having a small dog in our party. We had access to the fishing on the river which was appreciated by the fishermen in the group. The gite is situated in a rural location yet close enough to access supermarkets and local markets in Cloyes, we even biked there to get our croissants and bread. The grounds were also interesting and were ideal for the budding artists in the party to sketch at their leisure. I would recommend this gite to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday, who are catering for a large party looking for a good standard of accommodation and want to enjoy the real France.
