Chambres D'Hotes: Aménagé dans des jardins verdoyants plantés de palmiers,
le Bed & Breakfast Castello D'Urso Somma occupe les
dépendances d'un château historique.
Il est constitué de 10 chambres climatisées, toutes avec
salle de bains privée avec douche, qui présentent un décor moderne lumineux et des meubles anciens de style sicilien.
Les équipements incluent la télévision par câble (seulement
chaînes italiennes), climatisation , rideaux d'obscurcissement et bureau.
Les pièces, toutes differentes entre eux soit pour la
dimension que pour le mobilier, sont cinq pour dépendance et convergent vers une salle commune où on pourra prendre le petit déjeuner (qui est à buffet et self-service), et où on trouvera une cafetière, un micro-ondes , un bouilloire électrique, un grille-pain
er un réfrigérateur , toujours à disposition de nos gentils Hôtes.
Malheureusement, le B&B ne dispose pas de son propre
restaurant, mais vous trouverez nombreux au centre ville.
La propriété dispose d'une piscine en plein air entourée de
palmiers et ouverte en saison, d'un parking gratuit sur place et de jeux pour enfants sur demande.
Il est situé à 300 mètres de la plage, à cinq kilomètres de
l'aéroport de Catane Fontanarossa et à huit kilomètres du centre-ville de Catane.
Malgrè la proximité de la mer et du centre ville, il n'est pas conseillable de marcher à pied parce-que il n'y pas ni de zone pour piétons ni de trottoirs.
Si Vous avez une voiture ( choix reccomandé), notre localisation est parfaite pour explorer la plupart de la Sicile, puisque les autoroutes et les nationales,les plus importantes, sont dans les environs. Cela singnifie rejoindre Siracusa ou Messina dans une heure,Taormina dans 45 minutes, Palermo dans deux heures.
En plus:
- Service de blanchisserie disponible (sur demande).
- Lits et chaises hautes por les enfants (sur demande).
- Organisation, sur demande, de tranferts depuis/vers
l'aéroport de Catane Fontanarossa ou depuis/vers le centre
historique de la ville.

Description of B&B: Castello D'Urso Somma Bed and Breakfast is a smoking free property set in it’s own gated gardens, with palms and trees, and is composed of 10 guestrooms, which are in groups of five and housed in 2 self contained annexes around a historic Castle, providing access to a kitchen/central breakfast room in each of the annexes that opens up onto a large patio area.
All different in size and shape, featuring a lovely-nice mix of modern and antiques, rooms are so individual equipped that you can easily feel at home, at ease and relaxed.
All ensuite, with stylish modern bathrooms ( with shower only) and lots of thoughtful touches,guestrooms offer a/c climate control, cable tv (Italian channels only), closet, desk,manual roller
blinder and hair dryer(on request).
Sorry, smoking is not permitted indoors.
Complimentary Buffet Breakfast is available in "your" kitchen so guests get up and help themselves when it suits them. A coffee machine , a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, complete with a fridge and a sink,will be available at all times.
Housekeeping is provided everyday if guests are so kind to leave the room by 10:30 a.m.
There is a seasonal outdoor semi- Olympic swimming pool (usually opened from the 2nd half of May/beginning of June until the end of September although dates vary according to the local weather) surrounded by palms and complimentary on site parking.
The property does not have a restaurant or bar, but there are
plenty in the centre of Catania.
If you like staying away from the bustle of the city, our location is very quiet and the countryside setting helps to enjoy a relaxing stay. As a matter of fact,our area was used to be
called "Paradiso degli Aranci" (Paradise of Oranges) because,thanks to its healthy sea air and strategic location, it was dedicated to mandarins and oranges production.
Although close to the airport, to the main highways, to the old city centre,we can offer a silent, relaxing and peaceful location without
being cut away from the world .
Besides, we stand alone. This means we do not have neighbours or other people to be worried about.
Our B&B is conveniently located for guests who want to spend a day at the beach or go into town for shopping . It is 300 metres from the beach, 6 min by car from Catania Fontanarossa Airport and 8 kilometres from Catania Old City Centre.
Although it is within walking distance of the town and beaches, there is no footpath or pavements along the busiest section
of the road, so walking is definitely not advisable.
In addition to this, we always reccommend to rent a car, first of all because our island does not provide good transportation services . Besides, our location is also very convenient for exploring most of the island, since the main motorways are a couple of minutes away from our property (Taormina 45 min; Siracusa 1h; Mount Etna 1h 1/2); consequentially,being independent with "your" car means you can travel around Catania province and beyond all day long, and then feel you are at home,
once back at the property.
A warm welcoming and a friendly hospitality, which are typical values of the our tradition and culture,combined with an exquisite tranquility, are the essential features of our Beb and Breakfast.
