Descriptif Gite:
Le Gîte et son environnement.
Cette ancienne maison de garde-barrière (passage à niveau no 57) était construite aux alentours de 1870 et restaurée en 1992. La voie ferrée Lisieux-Orbec fut supprimée dans les années 60. Maintenant la maison, qui se situe à côté de la D272, dispose de 700m2 de terrain clos agrémenté de pelouse, arbustes et fleurs, avec vue sur la vallée de l’Orbiquet. Maison indépendante avec parking.
Services et Loisirs.
Boulangerie à 1,5 km, épicerie, journaux et bureau de poste à 5 km. Supermarchés à 10 km (Lisieux ou Orbec), Garage, station service à 1,5 km. Médecin et pharmacie à 7 km. Tous commerces à Lisieux et Orbec.
Randonnée pédestre et cycliste sur place. Piscine à 10 km, équitation à 5km, tennis à 500m.
Mer et activités nautiques à 40 km (Deauville, Honfleur). Plages du débarquement à 60 km.

Rez-de-chaussée : une pièce principale avec coin cuisine aménagée, coin repas et coin salon.
Salle de bains avec wc, baignoire et lavabo.
A l’étage : palier avec wc, 2 chambres en enfilade, la première avec lit 2 personnes, la deuxième avec 2 lits 1 personne, avec armoire, commode et chevets dans chaque chambre. Lit parasol pour bébé.
Lits faits à l’arrivée et linge pour lit bébé sur place.

Description of Gite:
The Gîte and its surroundings .
This former railway-crossing cottage (railway-crossing number 57) was built in about 1870 and renovated in 1992. The Lisieux-Orbec railway line was removed in the 60’s. Now the cottage, which is just alongside the D272, (a quiet country road) has an fully-fenced garden with lawn, bushes and flowers and with a view of the valley of the Orbiquet. It is a detached cottage with ample space for parking and no direct view of neighbouring houses.
Services and Leisure activities.
Bakery : 1,5 kms, grocery store selling newspapers, and post-office : 5 kms. Supermarkets : 10 km (Lisieux or Orbec), Garage, petrol station : 1,5 km. Doctor’s surgery and chemist’s : 7 km. All other shops and services can be found at Lisieux and Orbec.
Walking and cycling circuits accessible from the gîte. Swimming pool at Lisieux. The beaches and water activities : 40 kms (Deauville, Honfleur). 60 kms to the Normandy Landing Beaches.
Possibility of visiting Paris by train, approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes journey time from Lisieux station.
Description of the interior.
On the ground floor : one main room with fitted kitchen, lounge and dining area.
Bathroom with toilet, bath and washbasin.
Upstairs, landing with toilet, 2 communicating bedrooms, the first with a double bed, the second with two single beds, each with wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside-tables.
Folding cot for baby available.
Beds made on arrival, cot sheets and quilt with cover provided.
Equipement.
Kitchen area : fitted kitchen with gas cooker, micro-wave oven, dish-washer, refrigerator with deep-freeze, cooker hood. Kitchen-aids, coffee percolator, toaster, mixer and blender, electric knife, kitchen scales, bottle-warmer.
Crockery and cutlery, pans and ovenware, serving dishes, cake tins and quiche dishes, plastic plates and cups for baby.
Lounge area : Television with video-recorder, sofa, armchair, wooden bench seat, high-chair.
Bathroom : washing-machine drier, hair-drier, baby-changing table and bath.
Exterior : garden table and chairs, parasol, barbecue.
Cleaning option : The gîte is to be left as it was found, if you do not wish to bother with cleaning before your departure, you can pay the extra cleaning charge of 30€, but please inform us that you wish to have this option on booking so that we can arrange for the cleaner to come.
Electricity : included up to 8 KWH/per day, after the cost is 0,1074€ TTC per KWH (about 10 centimes) All electricity is included in the High Season rates.
150€ guarantee to be left, which is returned to you on leaving.
Taxe de séjour : 0,50€ per person per night (from age 13).
