Welcome to our Bed and Breakfast in Plaisance du Gers. Plaisance lies on the river Arros in the heart of Gascony. Our house is in the centre of this small town but is quiet and peaceful and a ideal holiday location for exploring this part of France and attending the many feativals.

Description of Rue de La Fontaine Bed & Breakfast:

The house was built in the 19th century and retains many of its original and interesting features. It has recently been restored to a high standard and has two comfortable en-suite rooms
The room at the back of the house has access to the balcony and a view over the secluded garden and to the Pyrenees in the distance. The other room has twin beds with a view of the church and over the square. Breakfast is taken in the dining room or in the secluded garden most of the year.
Plaisance is set in the Adour valley, surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards. It is an historic Bastide town dating back to the Middle Ages. It has an abundance of sporting facilities for you to enjoy.

fishing and a cinema.
Within the area there are many interesting towns and villages to visit. Condom and Lectoure are both full of history and beautiful buildings. They are thriving communities and it's always interesting to visit these town on a market day. Larrensingle is a beautifully preserved small fortified medieval town and Lavardans has a large chateau that hold various exhibitions throughout the year. Auch, with it's interesting cathedral, is the capital of the Gers and hold a weekly market and monthly flea market.
Marciac is host to an international jazz festival for two weeks starting the end of July. This festival attracts big names and tens of thousands of people. There are free concerts in the main square every day as well as concerts at night.
Mirande is host to the biggest Country and Western festival in Europe in July. There are markets stalls, street restaurants and concerts. This is the time to show off your line dancing!
Vic Fezensac has a lively Tempo Latino festival towards the end of July. There are normally over 30 concerts, street markets and restaurants. This festival has a truly welcoming atmosphere with people showing off their salsa skills in the street.
Besides these large festivals there are numerous smaller festivals in the area for example; Nogaro – motor racing circuit St Clar – Garlic festival Madiran – wine tasting around the Madiran vineyards - Vic Fezensac – horse racing and the Tour de France passes through the region most years.

Une très bonne étape dans une maison pleine de charme à l'ancienne, restaurée avec authenticité. Un vrai petit déjeuner à l'anglaise.

pour une première expérience très très grande satisfaction, accueil, chambre spacieuse idem salle bain, terrasse attenante, je recommande vivement ce logis et je ne parle pas du petit déjeuner un régal bravo Mme Lawson it was perfect

Directions to Rue de La Fontaine

Upon entering Plaisance over the river continue to the second square with the church. To the left of the church there is a car park Park you car at the far end of this car park. The house is opposite the back of the church. Itis a cream house with green shutters.
