An absolute GEM and a must
Review by: Jonathan , Mar 22 2016 9:34PM
Les Rosiers is faultless. Don't believe me, try it for yourself. Accommodation has fantastic little touches and attention to detail. Jill (the owner) has made her mark all over the house and as her infectious outlook on life gets hold of you her home becomes even more like leaving it could be a problem. The pool in the 'retired' tobacco shed feels like your own little spa retreat, drinks on the terrace, tendered garden, Coco the dog....and all this nestled in an area of stunning beauty. Montignac is gorgeous, the Lascaux Caves are definately worth a visit, also the nearby villages of Saint Amand de Coly and Saint Leon sur Vezere are two of the most beautiful villages in the region and the Chateau de Losse just 5 km away is a small but charming castle in a pretty setting on the banks of the Vezere river. We drove around with ease but couldn't wait to get back 'home' to Jill and Coco who, no matter what time of the evening always had such a welcome and a smile. Jill also helped us with the local knowledge and we even ended up all going out together one evening which was one of the best nights out we have ever had (sorry Jill, can't remember the name of that amazing restaurant)
If you fancy a break in amazing accommodation and an area you will want to return too please don't hesitate to book Les Rosiers.
Oh, important point, the beds are dreamy and comfy, everywhere is spotless and we wanted for nothing. Thanks Jill and we look forward to seeing you again later in the year as we have booked again in September. Jonty & Ian x
