Description of B&B:

Kim and David Didden welcome you to their beautifully restored early 18th Century Maison de Maître which has been run successfully since 2001 as a luxury bed and breakfast. The house offers warmth and tranquility providing the perfect stay whether on business or pleasure with a private secluded garden and good sized swimming pool.The B&B is located in the heart of Maubourguet village within the Hautes Pyrenees. The village has banks, a post office and pharmacies as well as the usual shops. There are four café restaurants serving excellent and inexpensive food. Everything you need is within walking distance of the house.Within easy driving distance are - Gavarnie, Tourmalet, and Aubisque, the spa towns of Cauterets and Bagnères, and, of course the holy town of Lourdes.Marciac is only 15km away, famous for its Jazz Festival held every year from 1-15th August with musicians coming from all over the World .The Chambre d'hotes has 3 bedrooms all with private bathrooms. The family room has 2 double beds, with the capacity for an additional smaller bed or cot if required for a small supplement.Maison at Maubourguet is a 40 minute drive from Pau Airport, which is served daily by Ryanair from Stansted.

The village of Maubourguet has two banks, a post office, three pharmacies as well as the usual shops.There are four café restaurants which serve excellent and inexpensive food. Everything is within walking distance of the house.For those who enjoy the noble grape, nearby are the famous vineyards of Madiran and Jurançonwith Armagnac about an hours drive away towards Auch.Other attractions of the Pyrenees are within easy driving distance - Gavarnie, Tourmalet, and Aubisque,the spa towns of Cauterets and Bagnères, and, of course the holy town of Lourdes. The Pyrenees Atlantiques to the west offers a visit to Pau, the beautiful mountain valleys of Ossau and Aspeand for a lovely day trip, the Basque Country with its Atlantic resort towns of Biarritz and St Jean de Luz.The spectacular mountains of the Pyrenees can be seen from the house and are only an hours drive away. Whether you visit for skiing or sightseeing everything is within easy reach.The village of Marciac is also 15 minutes away which is famous for its annual Jazz festivalwith musicians coming from all over the World.
