Description of Gite:

Stone house on a large landscape.
In the town of Castillon-la-Bataille (Gironde), 15 km from Saint-Emilion, 50 km from Bordeaux, 120 km from Sarlat (Dordogne).
The town of Castillon is famous for its historical reconstitution of the battle of 1453, (10 performances each summer).
Many restaurants, commercial and cultural activities.
Fishing on the Dordogne river (to 10 mm with foot).
Culinary specialities: lampreys “à la Bordelaise”, boletus, rib steak on vine shoots
Pastries specialities: Catherin de Castillon, Alize, the Ball of Castillon.
Sports: Rugby, football, VTT, tennis, hiking, horseriding, canoé, oar etc
Worships: Catholic and Protestant
Local wines: Higher Bordeaux, Côtes de Castillon, Entre-deux-mers
