Description of B&B:

9 thatched cottages only 500 metres from the River Seine. The beautiful historic port of Honfleur with its picturesque Saturday market is 10 minutes away by car or you can walk along the riverbank which offers spectacular views of the Pont de Normandie. On days out you are well placed to explore the sights of Normandy and Brittany. You can visit the landing beaches after a visit to the museum at Arromanches. Should you choose to you can explore the many beautiful beaches of the area. Berville sur Mer is part of the Natural Park of Brotonne which includes the Forest of Brotonne. There are many cycle paths, picnic areas, hiking paths on both sides of the River Seine.

Description of Gite:

Cottage 2-4: The living area has a double sofabed. The well equipped kitchen area has two electric hotplates and fridge. Outside are large communal gardens as well as parking. The bedroom has a double bed. The bathroom has a shower. Electric heaters are fixed to the wall in each room. 33-34 square metres.

Access:

From Calais (2.5 hrs), Boulogne (2hrs), Dieppe (75 mins) Le Havre(20 mins) From all these ports you need to head for the motorways that lead to the A29 motorway leading to the Pont de Normandie (5€: best to buy your return ticket at this point) You need to leave the motorway just as soon as you have crossed the bridge. Ferme du Chalet is a 10 minute drive from the bridge toll booth. please skip the next paragraph to local directions. From Caen, Cherbourg St Malo and Roscoff: From these ports you want the last exit off the motorway before you cross the Pont de Normandie. (it is very late and the bridge is towering over you as you leave) From these ports you need to head for the Pont de Normandie but not cross it. From Caen: A13 to A29 to Pont de Normandie. From Cherbourg: N13 to Caen. Ringroad to A13 to A29 to Pont de Normandie From St Malo: D4 to Dol de Bretagne. N176 to N175 to A84 motorway. Then N175 to Caen. Ringroad to A13 to A29 to Pont de Normandie From Roscoff: D58 to N12 to N176 then same as from St Malo. Directions from PARIS. Leave Paris ringroad by the A13. Leave at junction 28 Take N175 towards St Maclou Before St Maclou take N178 towards pont de Tancarville. Take D312 towards conteville and Berville. Cottages just before the Church in Berville sur Mer. Local Directions From the Pont de Normandie Exit: Take D580 (direction Pont Audemer). After about 1 mile turn left at the roundabout onto D312. This road will take you to Berville sur Mer. Ferme du Chalet is signposted to the left just before you enter the village. You will probably miss this sign. You can however also take the first left after the entrance sign to the village. The residence is 500m down the road immediately before and to the right of the church. Directions From Beauvais airport:Leaving the airport head for Beauvais then take the N31 west heading for Rouen. Go through Rouen heading for the A13 motorway. Take the motorway heading west to Honfleur and Deauville. Leave at junction 28 Take N175 towards St Maclou Before St Maclou take N178 towards pont de Tancarville. Take D312 towards conteville and Berville. Cottages just before the Church in Berville sur Mer.
