The flat is situated in the very centre of Cologne and conveniently situated for accessing by car or public transport. As a result of this there is no free parking during the day. Fortunately you find 3 underground parkings in near walking distance.

3. Bauhaus, Trierer Str. 12, (9-20 h);

Free parking in the streets around the flat only at evening/night (6 pm - 9 am) and only on availability (only Sundays parking is free of charge all day long)

Description of Gite:

The flat/apartment
This 5 room flat/apartment is situated in the very city centre nearby Barbarossaplatz in the second floor (elevator availabble) in a commercial/residential building. We offer 2 guest rooms 14 sqm each; windows go to the yard. Guests of these two rooms share the same bath room. The remaining 3 rooms are used by the host who has available his seperate bath room. The flat/apartment has a high grade wall to wall carpet, therefore smoking is not permitted at all. Also the flat/apartment is not applicable for pets. Please accept and respect these limitations. All guest rooms are lockable, have a blind and wireless www access (wi-fi). The kitchen is well equipped and can be used. Please leave the kitchen as you would wish to find it. Bed cloth and towels are provided. Beds are already prepared
with fresh linen. Also we provide street maps, city guides and books on Cologne.
Check in is usually possible between 14 and 18 h and from 20.15. The particular time to be arranged in advance. Please inform us about any delay in your arrival (for example via sms) to avoid long waiting times. Check out on the day of departure 12h. (later/other check in or check out times only on previous declaration)

Room 1: violet
furnished in a modern way, with TV-set, table with mirror and 2 easy chairs, a full size bed (160cm) for 2, a wardrobe with enough hangers. Additionally you find a bed for a third guest (90 cm)

Room 2: turquoise
furnished in a modern way, with TV-set, table with mirror and 2 easy chairs, a king size bed (180cm) for 2, a wardrobe with enough hangers and a mirror. Additionally you find a bed for a third guest (90 cm)


Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped and shared by all guests of the two guest rooms and the host. The kitchen should be left in the status found. (please don‘t use the kitchen after 22 h) Gas stove, fridge, dish washer, kettle, toaster, rice cooker, microwave everything is at your disposal. The breakfast is prepared by the guests themselves at the desired time. All necessary provisions are cared for: tea, coffee, orange juice, milk, bread. toast, cereals, cheese, salami, butter, jam, hazelnut spread

Access:

At the airport follow the DB sign (red letters on white) to the airport station which is one level under the arrival level. Buy the tickets at the machine which are good for the whole trip till the flat. (2,50 € per person in coins) Platform 1 +2 for trains to the city centre. Please use a local train S13 but not the ICE IC or EC. Change is at Köln-Hansaring 1 station behind the main station Hauptbahnhof (if you take a RE or RB train change is at Köln Hauptbahnhof). In Köln-Hansaring follow the blue U sign for underground and take 2 times the stairs down. Be careful at the second stairs to choose the right one to find the track to the south i. e. Rudolfplatz, Barbarossaplatz, Zollstock, Ubierring. There are two lines, line 12 and 15, you can take both. You leave the Underground at Barbarossaplatz. Cross the street towards McDonalds and another street towards BAUHAUS store. Follow the street a little till the next intersection and cross.

At the main station search for the underground service (a blue letter U). You buy tickets in advance either 4 tickets Kurzstrecke (short distance) at 1,70 each or a 5 person one day ticket at 10,70. You take the line 16 or 18 heading to Barbarossaplatz, just 4 stations ahead. You leave the Underground at Barbarossaplatz. Cross the street towards McDonalds and another street towards BAUHAUS store. Follow the street a little till the next intersection and cross.
