Description of Gite:

Charente Maritime is benefiting from a usually very sunny weather, ranging just behind the Mediterranean coast from this point of view (but with no strong wind alike mistral or Tramontane).
The house is located in a small village: Poléon part of the de Saint Georges du Bois commune, situated just nearby Surgères ( TGV train station and all comodities).
Paris is about 400 Km away by toll road, the is 25 Km away, La Rochelle is 30 Km de La Rochelle as well as Rochefort.
Poleon is located at the border of the so call “Green Venise” a famous part of the Marais-Poitevin. The Island of Ré is only 30mn away with its charming local hardbour and fine sand beaches.

2 sleeping rooms (1 bed 140cm and two 90cm beds), wash room and toilets.

ON SITE : swimming (swimming pool 12m x 6m ) ,ping-pong, ‘pétanque’ and many other outdoor activities, resting, and short trips by foot or bicycle in the Aunis county, tennis and horse riding Tennis et Equitation iGeorges du Bois.



In the neighbourhood : Visite of theVenise Verte excursionson boats, canoes or bike. Beaches with all their activities: sailing, Surfing, Funboarding... Bowling , fishing, karting and 18 holes Golf 18 nearby.

Daytrips in the islands, by car: Île de Ré , Île d' Oléron, or by boat: Île d'Aix , fort Boyard.

Visit of la Rochelle : lthe old city adnd the old hardbour the aquarium ... , of Rochefort : la corderie Royale , la Pierre Loti house, the Hermione construction site, th fortification in Brouage.. , of Chatelaillon : beach , aquatic center, casino . Further more the Aunis county and the nearby Saintonge county are offering numerous historical and cultural sites to explore.
