It is a bed and breakfast with 4 guest rooms, each with a private bathroom, located less than 300 meters from the walls and the historic center of Lucca, which then can be reached on foot or by bike via an underpass. The railway station is just 200 meters away, and by train there is easy access to Pisa with its international airport, and to the city of Florence. In addition to the gardens, the great hall and the veranda are at guests' disposal for breakfast. The owners, who personally manage the B & B and live in the house, speak English, a little French and a little German and are always available to provide to guests all the information needed to pass the time pleasantly. With bicycles, which are available free of charge to visit the city, and the information available to them, the guests can, for a few days, be considered not only as ordinary tourists, but as real citizens of Lucca. Upon their return home, guests of “al Porto di Lucca” may well tell their friends how the locals live in a place that still retains the Tuscan charm of a small Italian city-state.
