Description of B&B:
FACILITIES:2 double-bed guest rooms
We provide every guest with one feather pillow and one hollow fibre pillow.
Duvets are usually feather but if you have a feather allergy a hollow fibre duvet can be provided.
All bed linen is 100% cotton.
Our mattresses are comfortable, turned after the departure of every guest and have mattress protectors.
Tea & coffee-making facilities are provided in our open-plan upstairs sitting room.
Free WI-FI access is available, just ask us for the code.
We are happy to welcome families with babies, small children and party groups if you are booking both guest rooms. There is no family room but our guest rooms are divided by a private open-plan sitting room and are close together.
Bed and breakfast is what we do. We are a small, friendly operation and we enjoy welcoming guests to our home but we are not a guest house or hotel and our facilities are those of a private home.
3 course dinner with wine included, 7 nights a week. Book in advance (at least 24 hours).
Peace and quiet - not to be under-estimated, we are off the main road which is anyhow a quiet main road.

LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS:We are in the Pays de la Loire on the northern border with Normandy, near the village of Averton almost equi-distant between Alencon and Le Mans.
La Maison de Noyer B & B at La Cesnerie is best reached using LD Lines, we prefer the Newhaven-Dieppe service. Newhaven from the M25 junction that joins the M23 is about an hours drive, very quick. The ferry journey is about four hours and is often a really relaxing way to start your trip. Once you arrive in Dieppe it takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes to get to us in St. Aubin du Desert via Rouen. The speedy A28 makes this journey very fast now whereas a few years ago when there was no autoroute it took much longer.
Driving times for the ferry ports of Dieppe, Caen & Le Havre 2hrs 45mins; Cherbourg 3 hrs; Calais 3hrs 45mins.
Le Mans 50 minutes, Alencon 30 minutes, Mayenne 30 minutes, The Loire Valley & Saumur 1hr 45min.
DIRECTIONS: Travelling south on the A28, leave at exit 20 and drive to Sille le Guillaume, drive to Fresnay sur Sarthe, drive to Souge le Ganelon and continue on through to St Paul le Gaultier, drive on towards Villaines la Juhel on the D15, this becomes the D119 as it enters the Mayenne, turn right on the D268 towards Gesvres, and then take the 1st right to La Maison de Noyer at La Cesnerie.
If you are using a GPS to get to us type in LA CESNERIE 53700 for directions to our hamlet of only 3 houses. La Maison de Noyer is down a short drive off the D268 and through a metal field gate.
