Description of B&B:

Our gite, "les Deux Chênes" is situated in the small hamlet of Métry, near the village of Chasseneuil sur Bonnieure which is located in Charente Limousine region : look at the map of local area. The Atlantic coast is less than 100 km away. Within 40 km of the gite you will find 5 golf courses (name and telephone nos of the golf courses are indicated in the detailed description of the gite). The ideal area for excursions and relaxing.

Description of Gite:

The accommodation consists of a fully equipped kitchen (more details below), a dining room to seat 8 people, and a comfortable lounge which again can seat 8. the entrance is doorway to the patio, garden with barbecue and parking at the south front.The upper floor has three double bedrooms all with views and the bathroom with bath and 2 separate toilets.Individual electric heating keeps you snug and warm. The gite has television, ping-pong table and one adult bicycle.GardenThe front of the property is south facing and has a large private garden area with barbecue. There is ample undercover parking in the barn used as garage.The areaMetry is a small hamlet in the Charente region some 30km north east of Angouleme.The nearest village is Chasseneuil-sur-Bonnieure at 1km where you will find severals supermarkets, bars, boulangeries and butchers. La Rochefoucauld is about 10km away with other shops and supermarkets. Good restaurant list and telephone nos are available in the gite.The area is ideal for walking or cycling along quiet country lanes.Sleeping :The gite comprises 3 double bedrooms in total. This gives room for up to 6 people. You may bring your own bed linen and towels, or we can provide these for a small additional cost.Eating & living :To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.Smoking is not allowed in this gite.Less than 15 minutes drive away :Close to the gite you will find fishing, historic sites, shopping areas, restaurants, food shops and one Golf course (details are in the gite)Less than 45 minutes drive away :Within easy reach of the gite you will find a zoo, a theme park, an historical roman baths, an asteroid crater, 2 lakes.Golf courses near the Gite

Access:

Chasseneuil sur bonnieure si located between Angouleme (30 km) and Limoges (70 km). Exit from chasseneuil going to limoge take the second way on the left, the gite is the first house of the small vilage of Metry on the right. GPS pointers : 45°50'00.15" N, 0°27'46.48"E
