A comfortable gite (with pool) in a former farmhouse overlooking a beautiful valley in the Northern Lot, between Martel and Les Quatre Routes du Lot, Le Segala, with all modern amenities, is a great base from which to explore this area of France.
Holiday rental description:In an area of France known as the Quercy, famous for the Dordogne valley, medieval towns, walnuts and wines, Le Segala is a lovely base from which to visit or equally a peaceful haven to relax with a book and a glass of wine. The house has three double bedded room and one bedroom with two single beds. Each room has its own shower, basin and toilet faciities. There is a comfortable living room and a large kitchen diner. The garden and grounds are large with fruit and walnut trees, and the private pool overlooks the valley.
From the South - take the road from Martel (on the N140 from Rodez, Figeac etc and D823 from the N20 motorway Souillac and Bergerac) towards Les Quatre Routes du Lot. After 6kms turn left onto the D100 towards Cazillac. Take the second turning right which is AFTER the crossroads . The turning is immediately before a sign for St Cyprien and has our sign on the wall.
From Limoges and the A20 Southbound motorway. Turn off at junction 53 for Nespouls and Cressensac. Take the road (N20) for and to Cressensac. Once in Cressensac look out for the first hotel on the left hand side. Turn left immediately past this at the sign for Sarrazac (D87) and L'Hopital St Jean. When you get into l’Hopital St Jean, turn right towards Martel and then first left
and down the hill (D33). At the very bottom turn right to Cazillac (D100). Go through Cazillac and down a hill into the hamlet of St Cyprien where the road takes a corner to the left past a farm on your right. Straight on and take the second turning on the left with the sign to Le Segala.
It is far simpler that it sounds and takes less than twenty minutes from the motorway!
