Maison van Stijn is fabulously located on the edge of the small mountain village of Egliseneuve d’Entraigues. Here we are surrounded by hilly mountain scenery, woods, meadows, creeks and ponds. As we are situated at the edge of the village, we benefit from the best of two worlds: peace and nature on one hand and on the other the bakery, butcher, small supermarket, post office, chemist, and small restaurants and bars all within a 5 minute walk.

Maison van Stijn is fabulously located on the edge of the small mountain village of Egliseneuve d’Entraigues. Here we are surrounded by hilly mountain scenery, woods, meadows, creeks and ponds. As we are situated at the edge of the village, we benefit from the best of two worlds: peace and nature on one hand and on the other the bakery, butcher, small supermarket, post office, chemist, and small restaurants and bars all within a 5 minute walk.

Our property backs on the stream La Rhue. This small river, which is good for fishing or paddling, can be reached by a 5-minute walk. Here you are surrounded by an area of natural beauty, which is peaceful and calm and most of the time you will be by yourself at this unique spot. Another 5-minute walk takes you to the first waterfall of Egliseneuve. Continue a little further and you will find the second one.

Around a 15-minute drive away you will find lakes with clear fresh water that are perfect for swimming. One of our favourites is called Lac de Lastioulles: beautifully situated with sailing boats, canoes, windsurfing boards and pedal boats available for hire. There are also several (outdoor) swimming pools located within a 15-minute drive. Here at Maison van Stijn we put up a seasonal swimming pool during the summer with a diameter of 4 metres, a pleasure for young and old alike! We maintain this pool seriously and monitor the water quality on a daily basis.

All three gites are self contained, comfortable and cosily furnished. Sanitary fittings and electricity are completed to a high standard. All beds have 4-season duvets and beds and mattresses are of excellent quality. Consideration for guests who may suffer from allergies was given when choosing the floors, bed linen and pillows. In addition to this we clean the gites meticulously. Each gite has one or two terraces of its own and is provided with ample garden furniture. Customers are also welcome to use the whole of the garden. The water from the tap is spring water and is drinkable. It is even said to be tastier than bottled water!

Parking is available in our private car park close to your gite.

Our gites are available for hire throughout the year, including during the winter sports season. Our workshop is also available to rent for one or more days. And, to complete the holiday experience, we offer a Table d’Hote where we cook a pleasant 4-course dinner for you and are your partners at the table.
