Description of B&B:

La Souvigne has obtained 3 wheatsheaf from Gites de France and is one of only two Editor’s Choice B&Bs for the Correze in the Routard guide “Best Tables and B&Bs in France”. It is an old stone built cottage in a quiet corner right at the edge of the village of Forgès not far from the Church. It was well and attractively restored and is well placed near the major North<>South and East<>West motorways. All three rooms (2 with a huge 180cm wide double or 2 90cm single beds, and the third with 2 90cm singles) are carpeted and have thermostatic electric heating. They all have private facilities, with top of the range thermostatic showers. Ian, an ex free-lance chef and wine consultant and his wife prepare 5 course meals, complete with aperitif, wine from his cellar and and coffee. Normally these meals are only available on the day of arrival of our guests and if reserved in advance.

Nous sommes venus à 3 reprises à La Souvigne en quelques années et, à chaque fois, nous la retrouvons comme une vieille amie que l'on revoit avec plaisir et émotion.Jacquie et Ian sont toujours aussi accueillants et leurs chambres plaisantes. Quant au repas, quel bonheur de déguster mets et vins de qualité tout en discutant avec des gens passionnés (ne parlons pas du prix, c'est juste incroyable!!).Nous reviendrons avec infiniment de bonheur, bien sûr!!!!Nous les remercions de tout coeur.
