Description of B&B:
Villa de l’Arc - Résidence Provençale - is a beautiful mansion at the edge of downtown Orange in the Vaucluse (84). The Villa, fully restored in the years 1999-2001, with its parc and swimming pool is situated at a comfortable five minutes walk from downtown.Villa de l’Arc was build at a unique historic spot: right on the roundabout of the Arc de Triomphe, the more than 2000 years old Roman monument, that is still in almost pristine state. Orange is a pleasant town of about 28.000 inhabitants in Provence with lots of history, all services and situated right in the middle of the wineries of the Southern Côte du Rhône - area, about one hour south of Lyon. The infamous Mont Ventoux is very close, as are the cities of Avignon and Nîmes. The international airport of Marseilles and the Mediterranean
Sea are at a driving distance of less than one hour.
Since 2001, Villa de l’Arc had been used as a luxury Guesthouse.
Villa de l’Arc is a rectangular building with three floors and a total living space of about 350 m². In the years 2000-2001 the mansion was completely and carefully restored with attention for its original details. In 2004 a completely new system of air-conditioning and heating was installed, which can be regulated independently for each of the living spaces. In 2007 a new burglar alarm system was installed.
The parc around the Villa measures 2300 m2. 1950 m2 of that will be sold, together with the house. The rest will be used by the City to improve the appearance of the roundabout of the Arc de Triomphe. De park and terrace face the southeast and have been constructed in such a way that there are areas of shadow throughout the day. The swimming pool always lays in the sun. After 4 p.m., apéro-time in France, the terrace will be in the shadow (which is quite nice in the hot Provincal summer)

Chambre adorable et bio-équitable, tout confort. Angèle est d'une gentillesse extrême. Le petit-déj vaut le détour! A dire vrai, l'une de plus agréable chambre d'hôte que nous ayons faite pendant notre séjour dans la région. A voir absolument.
