Description of B&B:

Set in the heart of the Charente-Maritime in the countryside, only two kilometers from the medieval market town of Saint-Jean-d’Angely and 5 minutes from the A10 motorway junction 34, Karen and Richard will welcome you to this lovely residence with a charming independent house in the gardens which was originally the bread oven house. Newly renovated as a charming Bed & Breakfast, each spacious room has been tastefully decorated and have the original stone walls and fireplace features and their own independent entrances. Each room has an ensuite shower room, wc, towels, satellite television, Wifi, armchairs and tea and coffee making facilities.There is a terrace with tables, chairs and sun loungers for its guests and a private swimming pool 8x4m. Approached by a private drive lined with lavender bushes, enter through the electric gates and you will find a peaceful haven to relax in the tranquility of the gardens. Karen will be happy to prepare you a private candlelit dinner at her elegant dining room table or out on the terrace. Le Four a Pain is 5 minutes from junction 34 of the A10 autoroute giving you easy access to discover the delights and architecture of this region and is only 45 minutes from the lovely beaches of Royan, La Rochelle, Ile d‘Orleron and the Ile de Re and only 15 minutes from the vineyards of Cognac and Saintes. Saint-Jean-d’Angely itself offers numerous cafes, the markets, a plan d’eau with kayaking, pedalos and fishing and a large Atlantys swimming pool. Karen and Richard will make your stay as pleasureable and relaxing as possible.
