The Mas is surrounded entirely by Cotes du Rhone vineyards and is remarkably peaceful and secluded. The owners, Charles and Andrée Barail, both speak excellent English. Directions to Mas du Clos de l'EscarratPlease note that in order to protect the privacy of our guests, we have deliberately chosen not to signpost the Mas at the entrance of our driveway.
Coming from the A7 motorway, take the Orange Sud exit ( # 22) and follow the signs for Avignon. Then turn left on the D 950 road to Vaison-la-Romaine & Carpentras. Ignore the first sign for Jonquières and continue on D 950. Then, arriving to a roundabout, follow the Jonquières sign and before entering the village itself, turn right into the driveway of the Mas,"Chemin de l'Escarrat". This is directly after having passed the Sotalis company. (exactly 1 km after the roundabout)
If you are coming from Orange, pass through the village of Jonquières towards Carpentras (Avenue de la Libération). Nearly at the village exit, turn left into a driveway bordered by the walls of the Sotalis company . At the entrance of the road you'll see a "dead end road sign". You will find the Mas approximately 400 metres along the driveway.
