B&B “de Vlaamse Gaai” is a renovated farm in a very rural area in the province Drenthe. Besides 2 guestrooms, the guesthouse disposes of a large garden with terrace and a separated room where guests can watch TV or make use of the large information library.
Description of B&B "de Vlaamse Gaai" Bed & Breakfast:The “Vlaamse Gaai” is managed by two Belgians, who came to this region in 1981.
Besides 2 guestrooms, the guesthouse disposes of a large garden (± 5000 square meters) with terrace, a built-in balcony and a separated room where guests can enjoy an extensive breakfast in the morning and where they can watch the TV or make use of the large information library.
Each room has 2 single beds and a washbasin.
The bathroom (with shower and 2 washbasins) and the toilet are on the landing. Also on the landing is the built-in balcony from where you have a splendid view. Especially in the summer it’s nice to enjoy the sun and the view.
When the weather is fine, you can have your breakfast outside.
The region is well-known for its megalithic tombs (built with large boulders, about 5000 years ago, by people of the funnel beaker culture).
As a matter of course the region has a lot to offer and is excellent for walking and cycling!
In close proximity to the “Vlaamse Gaai” you’ll find accommodations for swimming, fishing, playing golf, canoeing and horseback riding.
If you want to visit a town nearby, there are lots of possibilities.
Assen, the capital of Drenthe where the world-famous TT-races take place, is about 25 kms away.
