Murier Blanc, Forcalquier

Murier Blanc has it's own entrance from a lane which runs along the side of the main development. There is ample parking for at least three cars in the front drive. To one side and along the back of the property is a large tiled area and deep shrub borders giving privacy. At the front and far side there are lawns surrounded by a hedge which has been kept to a level not to obscure the beautiful views of the valley and distant hills.

The villa is arranged with a large open plan American style kitchen, dining and sitting areas through the middle of the property and the bedrooms are off to either side of this, giving two distinct sleeping arrangements. Two double bedrooms (these can be twins or doubles) separated by a large shower room form one side and sited on the other side is the master bedroom with en suite shower room. French doors lead from this bedroom onto the covered terrace to the front of the house, enjoying the stunning south facing views. All bed linen and bath towels are provided, along with L'Occitane bathroom goodies !

The kitchen is accessed through the back door and has a small Utility room leading from it which houses the fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave. The kitchen itself is well equipped with a dishwasher, ceramic hob cooker, coffee machine, kettle, teapot, toaster, etc.

The dining area has a substantial French style rustic table and six chairs. Beyond this is the seating area with two large comfy linen covered sofas and coffee table, with tv and cd/dvd player. The large patio windows again make the best of the beautiful views. A door leads from this area onto the covered terrace which is great for dining in any weather with it's large glass topped table and six chairs. Just beyond the garden, down a short flight of steps is the main pool with sun deck, loungers, parasols and to one side is a boules court. Although in theory this pool is shared with about 5 other houses and 2 apartments, it is rarely busy. Many of the other houses on site have their own small pools so do not use the main one.

The whole site is very well maintained and has an excellent restaurant and small boutique hotel with a spa, where treatments can be booked. The spa has a hamman and Jacuzzi which are great if you chose to visit for an early spring or late autumn break when the outdoor pools may not be open.
