Description for B&B:
Our recently renovated accommodation, including solar powered hot water system, in Chigné is part of a traditional and ancient Fermette with exposed beams and wood-burning stove. We offer both self catering or B&B accommodation, comprising of an ensuite bedroomed gite, fully fitted kitchen / dining room, TV (Sky freeview channels) and off road parking with an outside seating area and BBQ facilities. Fresh, organic vegetables are available from the garden, and bicycles are available to tour the local area, and what is more, we are only 40 minutes or so from the 24 Hour racetrack at Le Mans.In the village there is a shop, friendly bar with a small restaurant, the 12th century church is open all the time to visitors, there are marked walks from the village and others from neighbouring villages and fishing is available in the village pond just over 100 metres from the garden gate, also there is a tennis court. By night the village is very quiet and is perfect to watch the galaxies in the unpolluted skies while sitting enjoying a glass or two of local wines.

Directions
Set between the La Loire and the Le Loir, The small village of Chigné is central to many of the famous French Chateaux of the Loire Valley, the many and varied Gardens, not to mention the many hectares of vineyards and fruit orchards. Ideal base for Golf, horse riding, cycling and walking. The Loire Valley is within easy reach of the UK and yet far enough South to be reasonably sure of good sunny summer weather.
By Train
The village is within 45 minutes of Le Mans, Tours and Angers, all of which are on the TGV lines with direct access to the Eurostar at Lille or Paris.
By Plane
There are direct flights from Britain to Angers (from Southampton) and Tours (from Stansted) all towns are within 45 minutes of Chigné and it's a cool oasis! Nantes is another option for a direct flight from more northern cities. Nantes is about 2 hours away from Chigne.
By Ferry
There are many options, with Caen (Ouistreham) only 2.5 hours away and Le Harve about 3 hours away. If you wish to use Calais or Boulogne sur Mer, then we are about 5 hours away. This means we could be a 'stop-off' on your way south or on the return north from further south, either in France or the Iberian penninsular.
By Train
