Russell, Heather, Louis and Henry welcome you to stay in the distinguished comfort and luxury of their stunning 19th century Chateau. Located in the beautiful village of Salechan, nestling at the foothills of the Pyrenean Mountains this lovingly restored home away from home can offer you a choice of 5 large luxurious rooms all with en-suite facilities, and stunning views of the mountains. Built in 1873 the three storey house stands back from the Route Nationale and is completely enclosed and private. The front of the house has an element of grandeur with its imposing marble columns and balcony. Inside a sweeping staircase through the middle of the house, original parquet flooring, and a different marble fireplace in each room are just some of the delights that await you.
Each of our beautiful rooms are named after the stunning picturesque views that can be seen from them.

At the front of our house the Chambre St Julien encourages you to step out onto two private balconies one of which overlooks the Pyrenees towards the beautiful Spa town of Bagneres De Luchon. This south facing room is spacious in size, and full of character with a lovingly restored original ceiling, original parquet flooring, and a stunning marble fireplace. It has a bathroom equipped with bath and shower which also opens onto a private south facing balcony.
Also sitting proudly at the front of the house is the Chambre Pic Du Gar. With its grand balcony and stunning views of Pic du Gar this centrally positioned room will provide you with comfort and tranquillity.

The room is extremely spacious with a lovely high ceiling and a beautiful wooden floor. The original fireplace and tasteful neutral decoration make this room one of the favourites amongst guests.

Chambre Pic du Gar also boasts a large walk in shower in an en-suite which runs the length of the room, and benefits from double doors which open out onto the private balcony.
We welcome you to join us for breakfast in our beautifully wood panelled dining room. With doors that can open out onto a tiled terrace in the summer it is a truly stunning room in which to eat your sumptuous continental breakfast making a great start to your day.

We will be happy to welcome you back at the end of the day for your evening meal where the room with its Louis 13th chandelier provides a perfect location to taste the local delicacies.

By prior arrangement we look forward to welcoming you to our dinner table for your evening meal. Your evening will start with an aperitif followed by a 3 course meal sampling local delicacies. Your host for the evening has been catering for many years now, and we recommend you sample the food from 'the best dining room in the area' as a recent guest quoted.

This will of course by accompanied by red or white wine and coffee. Vegetarian options are available on request. For parents with young children if you wish them to eat earlier to keep them in their routines this too can be arranged.

Access:

Ideally located at the foot of the Pyrenees, we are currently served by Pau Airport just 117 kms away with daily flights from Paris and London Stanstead. Just a 124 kms away is the ever expanding Toulouse Airport with several flights a day from the UK and Europe. Getting to Chateau De La Lanette by car after your flight could also not be easier from either of the mentioned airports. Either way you are almost straight onto the A64 Motorway which takes you to the Montrejeau exit, and then you can wind through the beautiful countryside until you reach your destination.
