Le Phénix is a beautifully and totally renovated manor house in the Tarn Valley about 4km outside the medieval town of Rabastens. Le Phénix has six beautifully decorated bedrooms all with ensuite facilities two of which are family suites. High quality beds, pillows and duvets ensure a comfortable nights sleep. The pool is large (12m x 6m), fenced, and in the sun all day and has a slide with water jets which provides hours of amusement for both children and adults alike! Outside space is also really important and our all the gardens and grounds are open to guests.
Description of Le Phenix Chambres et Table D'Hôte Bed & Breakfast:Le Phénix is a beautifully and totally renovated maison de maitre (manor house) in the Tarn Valley about 6km outside the medieval town of Rabastens - South France.
At Le Phénix we strive to provide our guests with the comfort and service of a small luxury hotel together with the relaxation and informality of a private home. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the entire property including our beautiful orangery.
Toulouse is 30 minutes away offering daily flights from Paris and London and many other European destinations.
Albi is the same distance but in the other direction with its magnificent cathedral and stunning Toulouse Lautrec museum.
The house is set in 15 hectares of woods and fields offering total tranquillity and privacy. We have a private swimming pool (12m x 6m) totally fenced which is in the sun all day. There is also a large pond, again fenced, full of fish. However, if you prefer the shade, stroll through the shaded tracks in the woods or sit under the enormous oaks and let us treat you to drinks!
Our Chambre D'Hote has 5 ensuite bedrooms: One single, two doubles, one triple and two family suites comprising two bedrooms and either one or two ensuite bathrooms. These are all beautifully decorated with a mix of French antique and modern furniture and the bathrooms, with baths and showers, are all different ranging from ultra modern in style to traditional which offer the opportunity for our guests to pamper themselves with our complimentary toiletries by Graine de Pastel. Breakfasts (included in our room rate) are a delicious and varied selection of homemade produce including our granola and granary bread, not forgetting of course freshly cooked croissants and chocolatines!
Our guests have available for their use their own sitting room with a huge fireplace, a library of English and French books, TV and DVD player (with a huge selection of DVD's) and stereo system with CD player. Also available is internet access via broadband connection.
The house is available for rent on a weekly basis which includes all seven bedrooms, plus a pool house bedroom, private use of the pool and the opportunity of having meals cooked or even prepared if it is a barbeque. Prices are available on application.
Outdoor activities are endless ranging from walking, horse riding, cycling, fishing, tennis and even skiing is only 90 minutes away. For the less adventurous just relax around the pool and enjoy the peace of the French countryside.

British Airways and Easy Jet fly into Toulouse from Gatwick on a daily basis, Air France from Heathrow and Fly Be from Southampton, Bristol, East Midlands and Gatwick
Carcassonne, which lies just outside the department’s southern border, and about one hour from Le Phénix, has a daily service to London Stanstead operated by Ryan Air.
All the main car hire companies operate out of Toulouse and Carcassonne Airports.
The TGV runs all over France with Toulouse having a link via Bordeaux. Trains to Rabastens run approximately every 25 minutes and we can easily come and collect you from Rabastens station.
From Toulouse: Upon leaving the airport, follow signs for Albi/Montpelier (blue) and take the A68 to Albi (you will need to pay €1.30 at the toll booth (péage), they take cards or cash) – make sure you follow all the blue signs to Albi, not the green – this will ensure you are on the autoroute! Come off at junction 7 (Rabastens and Couffouleux) and follow the signs into Rabastens.
Once you come over the river and into the town you need to turn right, direction Gaillac, and then first left which is the D2 direction Salvagnac. Continue on this road for approximately 5km and instead of turning right to Salvagnac (a continuation of the D2), turn immediately left, D28 direction Grazac. Le Phénix is the first driveway on the right after approximately 300m.
