Situated in one of the most idyllic part of Tuscany and hidden among secular holm-oaks, pines, vineyards, olive groves, ponds and creeks, Palazzo di Piero has that special charm of Etruscan sites. At the end of an oak-lined drive stands the large medieval residence with its elegant loggia and bell tower, its chapel painted with frescoes from the 16th century and its lovely inner courtyard.The farm is located close to Sarteano (2 Km), to Chianciano (4 Km), famous for their thermal waters, and to Chiusi, rich in fascinating archaeological sites and near the border line between Umbria and Toscana. This area offers not only healthy vacations and a variety of outdoor activities, but is also an interesting departure point for learning about culture and traditions of this region.The property is only 4 Km from the Highway A1, making it a centre for major sightseeing. Florence, Perugia and Assisi are all very accessible, Gubbio and Orvieto less than one hour drive away. Rome can be reached both by train from Chiusi, or with two hours drive.
The Valdichiana is an excellent holiday base, opening up both the Siena region and the Umbria region around Lake Trasimeno. This was one of the most important domains of Etruscans; the town of Chiusi was a point of exchange before Rome was founded. Any nook of the countryside can hide a treasure : a little church with an unknown artistic work or an ancient memory of a battle. The nature, makes this zone very various and unique.

It's possible to rent different type of houses, from the castle to the cottage near the castle.
Here is the list of the different type of accommodations :

- Castel (12 people - 7 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms)
The Castle was founded in 1599, by Fabio Sozzi, a soldier of fortune of Tuscany. The exterior is done in brick and travertine, the interior is decorated in antique Siena's style. Inside the house conserves the atmosphere of the ancient time.

- Santa Elisabetta (10 people - 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms)
Big and charming country villa for 10 people with breath-taking views of the woods, wine-yard and olive groves of the farm and situated in a very peaceful location. Surrounded by a large private garden with garden furniture and located at only 50 meters from the 10X20 mt swimming pool. From the external stairs you reach the nice and habitable loggia that opens onto the large living room, cheerful and well lighted, with its big fire-place; the kitchen is comfortable and well furnished with dishwasher, while washing machine is on the ground floor.

- Bachiarro (4/6 people - 2 bedrooms, one sofa bed, 1 bathroom)
Attached to the castle, this independent self-catering cottage for 4/6 people has the charme and the warm atmosphere of a typical tuscan farmhouse.
Through an ancient arch you enter the house's private courtyard, and the stone steps leads you up to the small loggia of the house.

- San Bernardo (10 people - 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms)
A big and charming stone farmhouse with breath-taking views of the surrounding olive groves, holm-oaks woods and fields. It is an independent, self-catering house in a very quiet and suggestive location with it's own private access, yet only 100 meters away from the castle. A shady habitable loggia on the top of the external stairs opens onto the first floor accommodation.

- San Bernardino (2 people - 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom)
At the ground floor of San Bernardo house this romantic small cottage in the old Tuscan style is the perfect place for a relaxed vacation for 2 people. Composed of a cozy and modern kitchen with terracotta floor a bathroom with shower, and a large double bedroom (an extra bed can be added).
San Bernardino has its private grass where you can sit enjoying the gentle landscape and having your meals and barbecue.

- San Pietro (4 or 6 people – 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms)
This beautiful and typical country villa is the most isolated house of the Farm of Palazzo di Piero. It's surrounded by woods and fields and it's very close to one of the two little lakes of the farm and 100 meters from the little river that cut the estate in two parts. About 1 Km from the Castle and the 10X20 mt swimming pool.
A huge private area where you can relax, sit and having your meals and bbq; stone external stairs leads onto an indoor loggia.
