This former farmhouse in grounds of 2 acres has been beautifully restored and is now a superb country residence consisting of a gite - La Grange and the English owners’ wing. La Grange” sleeping up to 8 (plus infant). All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. Large illuminated swimming pool(12m x 6m, with entrance steps and underwater lighting)with spacious terraces and a 50sq m covered terrace, all surrounded by security barriers. Sunbeds and umbrellas will attract the sunbathers, whilst the more energetic may prefer a game of table tennis or boules. The pool is open mid-May to the end of September..Each house offers a high standard of accommodation with well furnished lounge/dining rooms including HiFi with CD player and a small library of English books. Patio doors lead to separate private outdoor dining areas with garden furniture and barbecue on opposite sides of the property for added privacy when let as two single units. The modern full-size kitchens are generously equipped with quality appliances such as a microwave, double oven/hotplates; dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, electric coffeemaker, kettle, toaster, food mixer, iron/ironing board. L’Ecurie, sleeps 7, has three en suite bedrooms, two twin-bedded and one with a double & a single bed – all with modern tiled bathrooms with washbasin, WC and bath or shower..La Grange, sleeps 8, has four en suite bedrooms, two double bedded and two twin bedded rooms– all with modern tiled bathrooms with washbasin, WC and bath or showerSome of the bedrooms are furnished with period furniture typical of the region. However bed-springs, mattresses, and pillows (English size) are of recent origin. All bathrooms are equipped with hairdryers. Baby cots and highchairs are available on request.Full central heating makes the houses an attractive option for all year round get-togethers, family reunions, Christmas and New Year celebrations etc.For guests’ convenience a boulangerie/shop, an excellent restaurant and a golf course are almost within walking distance (15 minutes), and within 4 to 8 km you will find 3 supermarkets, tennis courts, trail riding etc. A pretty lake with beach surrounded by wooded hills at the foot of the Black Mountains (just 30 minutes’ drive away) has attracted many of our guests.
