Description for B&B:

Nestling between the forest and the Loire, backing onto a hillside peppered with troglodyte homes, the town of Langeais is at a cross-roads between the Châteaux trail and the 'route des vins." A crossing point over the Loire with an historic bridge, Langeais is popular both for the beauty of its landscapes and for its fine heritage.

A prestigious 15th century château, in which the union between Charles VIII and Anne of Brittany was sealed in 1491, makes Langeais a vital tourist attraction in the Loire Valley. This mediaeval fortress holds many marvels: one of the oldest square keeps in France, a working drawbridge, and a superb collection of tapestries and furniture...

The Loire Valley is a UNESCO world heritage sites because of its outstanding cultural landscape, including historical towns and villages, great architectural monuments - the châteaux - and cultivated land, fashioned by centuries of interaction between the people and their physical environment, including the Loire itself."

Appréciations pour Le Clos Rabelais, Langeais:

Well managed bed and breakfast
Review by: Ryan Burcher, Nov 19 2018 5:41PM
Vickie and Tim Jones are now assisting with the running of Le Clos Rabelais. They welcomed us with a bottle of rosé and snacks (on the house). Patrick helped plan our visits to the local chateaus and looked after breakfast. We were originally down for two nights but stayed three, we loved the house so much.
Perfect location for Cycling the Loire
Review by: David and Hilary, Mai 29 2017 1:56PM
Patrick and Shaun were very friendly and helpful; making great suggestions for Cycling days out and accommodating our cycles so easily. Their place is ideally located close to many Chateaux and within walking distance of great evening meals in Langeais. We breakfasted communally with other guests and made new friends from the US and France. What more could you want?
