Breakfast, with ingredients sourced from local farms and butchers, includes Aga baked muesli, home made breads and preserves and compotes, is served in the elegant dining room. Evening meals are by prior arrangement.
Guests can make use of the Boot Room and laundry, the garden with terrace area and the attractive lounge. Relaxing atmosphere to come back to after all the activities available nearby. Wheelchair friendly. Very popular and considered the best family and group friendly place in the locality.

Directions
It's easy to find us. Just head North from the historic town of Monmouth on A40, after about 3 miles you will see a service station on your left. Just after this is the Whitchurch turnoff. Enter the village onto the Llangrove Road and look for the walls and gate portals of Portland House immediately to your right. If you are heading South from Ross on Wye on A40, after 4.7 miles take turn off for Whitchurch Symonds Yat WEST. Take second exit off mini roundabout, drive over bridge,follow road to the right. Enter the village and look for the walls and gate portals of Portland House between the shop and Crown Hotel.
