In this family house in the countryside on a plot of 9 ha, we will at your disposal 4 bedrooms and 1 independent studio.
B&B Description:Once inside the pine-tree lined boundaries of LGAL, three residences welcome guests. The residences blend the old and new, in materials and design, function and form.
“La Grande Maison” at the center overlooks the property from all directions. The ground floor retains the original structure of the old property. The three guest rooms, Le Pied a Terrre, La Reine Marguerite, Les Mésanges are located on the first floor, with private access from the terrace.
In the front garden facing south, an old large stone wheel lies amidst the flower garden – a remnant of the area’s history of massive quarry stones used for crushing grains. Traders would journey from as far as Russia to select the stones and carry them home, a long arduous journey lasting one year back in those days.
At the entrance to La Grande Maison stands the original water well of the property, now remodeled, but water can still be drawn from the well just like in times past.
To the east lies L’ancienne écurie, now an independent apartment for two, but formerly the location of the old stables. Adjoining L’ancienne écurie are the private garages and laundry facilities for guests.
To the west lies Les Aubépines, a fully independent cottage for four. Adjoining Les Aubépines is a large BBQ with spit roast and outside terrace where family and friends gatherings can be enjoyed.
The property name “La Gueule Aux Loups” translates to mean “the mouth of the wolves” reflecting a distant past when the area was surrounded by dense forests and woods. Nowadays, the forest trails are well marked and traverse through the surrounding villages and towns. Guests can easily venture through the trails by themselves at their leisure.
