La Grande Castelette , Route de Marseille, Avignon, 84140

A charming, high-class 18th century residence.
Built in 1776 by Joseph François Agricole Islan, Canon of Montfavet, Pré d'Islan has witnessed centuries of Avignon history and is listed as one of the most beautiful and important historic houses of Avignon.
It is situated in the famous region of Montfavet at the crossroads of the route de Marseille and the route de Montfavet on the south-eastern outskirt of Avignon, where it now lies at the heart of suburban
regeneration between the commercial centre of La Grande Castelette and l'Agro-parc. Our ancestor, Jean Baptist Geoffroy, mayor of Avignon, purchased the site with his cousins in 1836. These enterprising inhabitants of Avignon exemplify the spirit that enhanced the prestige of Avignon in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Our house is your house.
