Description for B&B:Warm welcome at Dagmar’s Presbytery, your home abroad, you will be living in my ancient parish house, built in the early days of the16th century.
Passing the iron gate you drive directly into the courtyard, part of the colourful garden, the colours of the red and purple climbing roses embellish the ancient walls and 2 towers all built from rubble stone, in the typical Brittany style.
In these old walls you will feel fresh and cool on a hot summer’s day and warm from the bottom of your heart on a chilly winter day. The guest rooms overlook from the 2nd or 3rd floor the garden and the lush meadows of Brittany.
The majestic chimney in the dining room will welcome you with a cosy fire, while you will enjoy your breakfast at an original monastery table. We are proud to offer homemade bread; our jams are prepared from our garden’s rich fruit selection, eggs (any way you order) from our own poultry, coffee à la française or tea. For the experience of a ‘real Breton dinner’ on pre-order Dagmar is happy to prepare a typical Breton dinner (from 18€/p).
Our 16th century authentic living room invites you with comfy sofas and armchairs for reading in front of the marble chimney or for an afternoon tea, a whiskey or a glass of Champaign (extra charges).
In less than 10 minutes drive you find the Golf Course ‘Rochers Sevigne’ named after Mme de Sevigné, the famous epistler. Her beautiful ad joint castle today still provides for a soupcon of the 17th century and the rich history of Louis XIV’s court. In contrast Vitré’s medieval fortress gives a stunning example of the important role it played from the early 15th until the 17th century.
