Description for B&B:At the junction of the Yonne river and the Canal du Nivernais, the village of Mailly-la-Ville enjoys a special situation associated with boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming or just walking. The river and the canal are therefore major tourist assets, especially since this privileged site is adjacent to the adjacent coasts "Les Coûtas", formerly covered with vines disappeared in the first half of the 20th century. These costas offer superb panoramas from the paths originating in the center of the village.
Overlooking one of the locks of the Canal du Nivernais, 3 guest rooms are at your disposal on the 1st floor of a building dating from the 17th century, independent of the house of the owners.
On the ground floor, a relaxation area is reserved for you. Within this space, a fitted kitchen is at your disposal. You will have the opportunity to dine on site or prepare meals.
An inner courtyard, common to the owner's dwelling, is also accessible.
With a total capacity of 8 people, it is possible to transform the guest rooms into guest houses by simultaneously booking the 3 bedrooms.
The guest rooms "Les Coûtas" are open all year.
Chambre du Père Leleu (4 persons)
Offering a privileged view of one of the locks of the Canal du Nivernais and the Yonne River, this family suite allows you to fully enjoy its location.
Its denomination is a nod to a local figure, The "Father Leleu". Former Communard, Father Leleu settled by chance in 1887 on the neighboring commune of Saint-Moré. After being a soldier, he took up residence in the cave which dominates the Cure, Roche Percee. He searches the caves and discovers there many prehistoric vestiges. It exploits its troglodyte living environment, visits its "apartments" and exhibits living vipers. In 1913, his body will be found inside his cave. Crime or accident, the mystery remains, but the legend remains.
Your stay could be the opportunity to leave in the footsteps of Father Leleu ...
