Welcome and great that you found Simply Canvas; glamping and cottages/gites with an enclosed swimming pool surrounded by countryside views close to Bergerac in SW France.

Our 6 safari tents offer a true Glamping or luxurious camping experience with each their own bathroom and boxspring beds (which makes camping really fun). Or choose one of the three self catering cottages or gites of which one is so spacious you'll never want to leave. All is situated on our 12.5 acre property in the middle of the country side with superb views and of course a large enclosed swimming pool for all. You find us on the border of the Lot et Garonne and Dordogne departments in the Aquitaine region of Southwest France, closely situated to Bergerac. Our region is sometimes referred to as the Tuscany of France because of its beautiful rolling hills, sunflower fields, wine chateaus, flowing rivers, bastide villages, lovely walks and castles.

Amongst all this beauty we very much invite you for a lovely holiday. Time for your family, new friends for the children, lovely outings, join us for delicious dinners (for which we are famous) full of local goodness, veggies from our own garden and good conversation at the dining table.

In 2017 we installed all new safari tents!
NO to sleeping on the floor and shared bathrooms, but YES but to being outdoors and camping. No doubt because of this Glamping or glamorous camping has taken such a flight and is now so popular. We have tried our best to generate a luxurious camping experience. With us you will find no loud music over the terrain, no cars right next to the tents and no super near neighbours. You will find lots of cosiness. We remain small scaled with 6 tents which all have a slightly different decoration. One tent is a little separate of the other tents for those wishing for even more privacy and the other 5 tents are spread over a field of 1.25 acres. All the tents have superb views over the fields. All have a veranda, privacy and good beds (we sleep on them ourselves too). There are 4 beds to each tent, a dining table and chairs and sitting area. All beds have musquito nets. As a cherry on the pie you have your own bathroom only a few steps away. The bathroom building is newly renovated with brand new shower rooms and on every door there is the family name, making it your bathroom during your stay.
There is a large former cow barn serving as a multi purpose space. You will find breakfast here in the morning which is included in your stay, you can make tea and coffee here, there is fridge where you will get space, there are free bbq’s at your disposal, you can write your name on the list and join us for a lovely dinner or you can rent a mobile cooking unit (per day or for the entire week to cook at your own tent). You can rent a gas heating for cooler nights during the off season or we provide you free with hot water bottles and extra blankets.
