Description for B&B:

Tourbes is surrounded by the lush vineyards of the Herault area of Languedoc and is adjacent to Pezenas , a protected medieval market town. It is between Montpellier and Beziers and is half an hour's drive from Montpellier airport and many wonderful beaches. It is one and a half hours drive from Perpignan, Carcassonne and Nimes. Tourbes has all the essential amenities (grocery store, butchers, bakery, pharmacist, post office, café-bar with outside seating, restaurant and its own wine cave providing very drinkable wine at extremely reasonable prices). There is also a beautiful 16th century church. There are two major supermarkets within a five minute drive and a fresh food market comes to the square in Tourbes on Wednesday mornings. A pizza van, selling freshly-made pizzas, comes to the square every Wednesday evening.

Tourbes is 20 kilometres from some of the finest beaches in the South of France If you prefer uncrowded beaches with no distractions or amenities then head for Marseillan plage (about twenty five minutes drive) which has fifteen kilometres of wonderful white sands, there are also several other, equally beautiful, beaches with little restaurants and coffee bars etc., all within half an hour's drive..

The flat is on the ground floor of a three floor, traditional vignerons house, it has a garden, large lounge, double bedroom, kitchen and modern bathroom. It will sleep two in the double bedded room and another two in the put-u-up in the lounge if required.. There is also a single, collapsible bed available.

All the floors are tiled and it has a small, recently-modernesed, separate kitchen with double sink, electric cooker, large, new double fridge/freezer, modern washing machine and new microwave. There are new fitted-cupboards housing saucepans, crockery, glasses, cutlery, cooking utensils, iron and ironing board etc. and is, in fact, fully equipped.

The large lounge/dining room has whitewashed stone walls; one of the walls is alabaster and has some attractive old doors to wine vaults set in it, though the vaults are not accessible. There are two sofas (one is a double put-u-up), two armchairs, a coffee table, and an art nouveau dining table, with matching four chairs and sideboard, etc. There is a television which shows French programmes and attractive, arched, French windows leading to a small garden which is at the rear of the house and is sunny for most of the day. There are reclining sun chairs, barbecue, garden table with chairs and sun umbrella. There are double gates leading into the garden from the road and it would be possible to park a car inside the gates if required, although there is ample parking in the square outside the flat.

Up a few steps off the lounge .is the bedroom which overlooks the garden, it has a tiled floor, beamed ceiling, double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, chairs, table etc., and has two windows. The modern, tiled bathroom is separate and opposite the bedroom on the same floor with bath, shower attachment, toilet, wash-hand basin and a large cupboard. There are steps leading up to the bathroom from the lounge which makes it accessible for anybody using the put-u-up
