La Source, Saint Pierre D'argencon

La Source is situated in a peaceful location 2 kms from the village of Saint Pierre D'Argencon in the countryside of the Haut Buech The Jouffan mountains behind La Source create a superb backdrop and our 2 hectares of woodland include sequoias, pines. walnut and lime trees making it a wonderful place to relax and unwind.



We offer 5 comfortable, clean and well presented bedrooms. Breakfast is served in our new restaurant or on the sunny terrace. There is a small kitchen available to guests for the preparation of picnics and light meals and includes a fridge, microwave and television. Meals are served in our new restaurant, reservation is recommended.

We also have a small campsite of 25 pitches available for those who prefer to camp. Facilities include clean separate toilet and shower blocks with English toilets and hot showers and pot washing sinks. Electric hook ups and BBQ area are also available. Shops, restaurants and all other local amenities are within 2 -12 kms of La Source.



The GR 94 national walking route runs close by our home making it an ideal refuge for walkers and hikers. The hang-gliding centre La Longeagne is located on the Jouffan mountains behind and a landing field is to be found at Saint Pierre D'Argencon. Other local activities include climbing, mountain biking, riding swimming and fishing, and all are in close proximity.



Gap is the capital city of the Hautes-Alpes 40 kms East of La Source. Steeped in 2000 years of history and with a love of culture and nature this city and its surrounding area make it a place well worth visiting. If you want to travel slightly further the largest man made lake in Europe the Serre -Poncon can be found 15 minutes after Gap. Travel South from La Source and you will find the town of Sisteron with its ancient well preserved Citadel perched high on the rock. This fortress stands across the valley as a barrier and gives a 150 kms view of the countryside from North to South, the Citadel and views are not to be missed.
