The Village house was built some 200 years ago

You enter through the kitchen where the well is, now restored to its former glory with its own spring some 10 mtrs below, the kitchen also boasts a 'Godin' woodburning fire, the wood is collected locally

You rise to the landing dining room, beautifully appointed but comfortable with dining table and chairs to seat 6 and a grandfather clock which has been in the property for generations and gifted to us by the previous owners, buffet on one side of the room and a cherrywood cabinet on the other displaying French and English handcut glass with a black and pink squared marble floor. This lovely room is for you to use if you eat in, alone or with ourselves, the choice will be yours

Then we come to the Studio, your home while you stay with us

After you walk up a short staicase through a lockable door you enter the Solarium living room, so called because of its panoramic 4 mtr window, looking over the enormous valley that Consegudes is set. The photo does not give justice to the wonderfull Provence light that streams into the room. It is southfacing and gets sunlight some 12 hrs of the day with exterior temps reaching 40C although the room never gets to those tempratures. The room is very well appointed for relaxation, has two easy chairs and two sofas, one a sofabed if there are four of you and a large limewood wardrobe for your use. It has tv dvd video cd and radio. Also a library of books dvds and videos both in French and English as well as tourist information. You can either sit in the chairs or sit on the windows ledge sorrounded by the geraniums drinking in the peace and beauty

You walk through the Solarium to another door into the Bedroom

To your left is the slightly raised kitchenette, it is complete with a microwave, coffee maker, kettle with a supply of italian arabica coffee. there is cutlery cups mugs and plates. By the side is a table and chairs so you can breakfast on the bread from the woodfired oven a street away and light lunch later. through the ranch doors is a sink and the washing machine

To your right, the bedroom, a comfortable double bed, drawers, a chest, bedside tables with chrystal lamps, the bedroom furniture is in a distressed provence yellow in keeping with the ambiance. In a niche is a settee for you to sit on last thing at night or on awakening. The ceiling has been double insulated for coolness in the summer and warrmth in the winter and then clad in varnished pine that softens the whole room. There are two large mirrors

The shower room is newly built with state of the art shower, tiled and a hinged glass door. There is then a sink and toilet and a large mirror, the fittings are in chrome and gold

All the work was done by local builders in keeping with the house and project managed by us and then interior desigbed to keep the house as close to the orriginal as possible
