Château Labistoul is a charming and friendly guest house near Cordes sur Ciel not far from Albi with her Cathedral Saint Cécile in the south of France. Delightfully typical of this enchanting region, it's the perfect place to relax during the long, balmy summers or explore the incredible natural scenery in the colourful spring or autumn. Our accommodation sleeps up to 18 people in 2 separate rooms, one double, one twin and a huge family gite / farmhouse. All have private bath rooms.

At Château Labistoul we have two swimming pools, beautiful landscaped garden with ancient 'lavoir' and a courtyard with an old fountain were we serve breakfast.

Situated in 18 hectares of beautiful countryside in a oasis of peace and tranquillity and at the end of a long winding lane,

surrounded by panoramic views and green valleys you will see Chateau Labistoul.

Chateau Labistoul was founded in the 11th century as a watchtower for the tiny little village Campes.

The history, ambiance and open fireplace of Labistoul allows you to dream of the past.

From the gardens of Labistoul you have wonderful views of the countryside with the village of Bournazel in the distance.

Over the past centuries, the trickling river Magot (pronounce Margo) provides us with fresh water in which trout can been found.

Deer's have drunk from this river since the time of Simon de Montfort and can still be seen drinking from this river today.

The 'Chateau' is located 2 kilometres from Saint Marcel and 4 kilometres from the medieval hilltop village Cordes sur Ciel.

The Château has been restored to a very high standard offering all modern facilities.

Spend your holiday enjoying this beautiful area, lazing around the pool or wandering through the gardens and grounds of the château.



We have lived here for many years in this beautiful area and have accumulated a wealth of knowledge

which we can pass on to you to ensure this is an unforgettable holiday.

We can offer you a nice Bed & Breakfast / Chambres d'Hotes at Cordes sur Ciel not far from Albi to suit your requirements.

There is also a beautiful farmhouse which can be rent with a private swimming pool.

Various activities can be arranged i.e. archery, canoeing, walking, visit the cathedral Saint Cécile with the famous Russian choir and,

of course, the medieval villages where it seems time has stood still.

Enjoy the beautiful nature, and sounds of the countryside, a glass of local French wine on the terrace in the summer

or in front of an open blazing log fire in the winter.
