The castles style is Empire, but you could also say that it looks like a Mediterranean villa of the Medicis style. Balias, the artist who owns the place, has entirely restaured the castle with frescos on the walls and the ceilings. The place is surrounded by a parc, designed by Lenôtre on three terraces with a pond, like a mirror, below. In the parc you can view 55 modern sculptures today. The whole place is one of the biggest living artworks in the world.
